Choosing &  Pureeing Pie Pumpkins

Choose a pie pumpkin.

Slice pumpkin into halves or pieces.

Scoop out the seeds & pulp.

Rub olive oil on the cut side of the pumpkin & lay face-down on a baking sheet.

Bake at 350° for approx 45 minutes, or until flesh is soft & tender.

Scoop out the soft pumpkin from the skin & put it in a blender.

Blend it all smooth!

Pour pumpkin puree into containers for storage.
